Just back from COA Midwest Nationals!posted by Marisa Walker on Wednesday, Feb 27
Hi there! I just got back on Monday from the COA Midwest Nationals in Columbus, OH, which was one of the stops on the 2008 American Cheerleader on Tour. I'm from Ohio, but I'd never been to this event. It was awesome, and I couldn't believe how far some of the teams had traveled! In addition to all the fantastic midwestern programs like Step 1, Basics Superstars, Midwest Cheer Elite, Cheer Center, American Elite, ONE All-Stars--and the winners of our Editor's Choice Award, Ohio Valley All-Stars--even New Jersey Spirit Explosion and Kentucky Elite were there competing as well.
Kudos to Ohio Valley's Large Senior 5 and their Editor's Choice Award! I love these girls--not only are they super talented, but they were total sweetie-pies and displayed awesome sportsmanship throughout the weekend. Look for their pic in the May/June issue of AC.
I was also really impressed with Pittsburgh Superstars' high-energy routines, and I was psyched for all the teams who scored Worlds Bids. (Will you be at Worlds? I'll be there with bells on!)
Plus, COA and JAM Brands made a big announcement (I won't spoil it--just visit the JAM Brands and COA websites for more).
If you haven't been to one of the competitions in our AC on Tour, you're missing out on a lot of fun, and tons of prizes to win! Check out this pic of me with our prize wheel. For more on AC on Tour, click here. |
